Kenya on Thursday recorded 212 new cases of Covid-19, raising the country’s total to 34,705, Health CAS Rashid Aman confirmed.
This was after a sample of 3,937 tested in the last 24 hours, bringing the cumulative tests to 463,499.
Aman confirmed that all were Kenyans except 14 who were foreigners.
Speaking during the daily Covid-19 briefing from Homa Bay county, Aman said age wise, the youngest was a one -month-old infant while the oldest was 76 years old.
Nairobi continues to lead in the daily positivity rate, recording 96 cases in the last 24 hours.
Other counties with new cases include; Mombasa 21, Kiambu 11 and Kilifi six.
Another 195 patients have recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country so far to 20,644.
A total of 141 of those discharged were from the home-based programme, while 54 were discharged from various health facilities.
The number of fatalities rose to 585 after another four patients succumbed to the virus.
